Circumstances

Mr Lavpreet Singh Cheema was born on 23 May 1978 in India and relocated in 1999 as a student.

On 25 October 2004 Lavpreet's visa expired and he was listed as an illegal immigrant still onshore in Australia. Lavpreet was last physically seen in Sunshine Victoia by an ex-girlfriend sometime in early 2004. Lavpreet's family who reside off shore last spoke with Lavpreet by phone in early 2005. Lavpreet was reported missing to Victoria Police on 7 July 2015 by a family friend who was contacted by family members to assist as they have had no contact with Lavpreet since 2005. Lavepreet last know address is in the Dandenong area in Victoria in 2008.
