Peter Christofidis was 28-years-old at the time of his disappearance. His Volkswagen Beetle was found abandoned on Calder Highway near Ouyen a few days after he was last seen, but he was never located.

Peter Christofidis vanished 40 years ago, leaving behind a mystery that still haunts investigators. Police appeal to the public for help in solving the case.

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have issued a renewed appeal for information regarding the baffling disappearance of a Cheltenham man, Peter Christofidis, who vanished 40 years ago.

The investigators are calling on the public to come forward with any information that may shed light on the mysterious case.

Peter Christofidis, who was 28 years old at the time, was last spotted on Cameron Street in Cheltenham on 14th March 1983. The last vehicle he was seen driving was a Volkswagen Beetle, which was found abandoned on the Calder Highway near Ouyen, a few days later.

Despite extensive searches of the surrounding area, police were unable to locate any trace of Peter. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Investigators have released two images of Peter before his disappearance in 1983 in hopes of prompting anyone with information to come forward.

Peter would now be 67 years old, and his family and friends are desperate for answers.
