Police seek information into historical missing person’s case – Tamarama
Thursday, 10 Sep 2009 05:11amPolice are seeking public assistance to locate a man who was reported missing from Tamarama, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, almost 24 years ago.
Christopher Stephens, then aged 21, was last seen by his mother leaving his Tamarama home and heading to Randwick TAFE on 1 October 1985.
Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command and the Missing Persons Unit have conducted extensive investigations into Mr Stephens’ disappearance.
Investigations have revealed Mr Stephens, who would now be 44 years old, had only a few of his clothes and personal belongings with him when he vanished; none of his bank accounts have been accessed; and his drivers licence has not been renewed since he went missing.
His family has not heard from him since 1985.
Police are urging anyone who might have information about the circumstances surrounding Mr Stephens’ disappearance or his current whereabouts to contact Eastern Suburbs Detectives via Crime Stoppers
