Dale Bellette was last seen on Saturday 25th of April 2004. Dale informed his parents he intended to visit the Hartz Mountain area near Geeveston, Tasmania with the intention of returning later the same day. Dale left his residence at Warrane driving a white Torana Sunbird which was later located in the carpark at the commencement of the walking track at Hartz Mountain.
A male matching Dale’s description was spoken to by another walker at approximately 3pm. An extensive search was conducted of the area however Dale was not located.

The search for a Warrane man missing in Tasmania's far south has been intensified.
Police are seeking a group of walkers seen in the same area on Sunday afternoon.
Dale Bellette, 32, has been missing since Sunday when he began a walk in the Hartz Mountains National Park.
Searchers are taking advantage of good weather to scour the area from the air and on foot.
Ten teams of police officers, bushwalkers and emergency service volunteers have been deployed.
Tracker dogs have now joined the effort and canoeists are searching along the banks of the Picton River.
The search for a Hobart bushwalker missing for nearly a week is to be further scaled back on the weekend.
