	Circumstances
	
	Denny Smith, aged 40, was 
	last seen in the NSW town of Budgewoi on the morning of 1 April 2025. His 
	white Toyota Hiace van was subsequently located at Snapper Point, in the 
	Lake Munmorah State Conservation Area. He has not been seen since. Denny is 
	described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175-180cm tall, thin build with 
	brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. Police hold concerns for his 
	welfare.

		Search continues to locate man missing 
		from the Central Coast

		Police are appealing for public assistance to 
		help locate a man missing from the Central Coast NSW area.
 
	
		Denny Kenneth Smith, aged 40, was last seen in Mannering 
		Park on Tuesday 1 April 2025.
 
	
		When he could not be located or contacted, officers from 
		Tuggerah Lakes Police District were notified yesterday (Monday 21 April 
		2025) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
 
	
		About 3.40pm yesterday (Monday 21 April 2025), police 
		located a white Toyota Hiace van belonging to Denny at Snapper Point 
		carpark.
 
	
		Concerns are held for Denny’s welfare.
 
	
		Denny is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 
		about 177cm tall, of thin build, with short brown hair and a medium 
		complexion, with ear stretcher body modification.
 
	
		He was last seen wearing surf-style clothing and Reebok 
		shoes.
 
	
		Denny is known to frequent the suburbs of Wallsend, 
		Mannering Park, and Budgewoi.
 
	
		About 8am today (Tuesday 22 April 2025), police commenced 
		a multi-agency land search of Snapper Point in the Munmorah National 
		Park.
 
	
		Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District, Marine Area 
		Command, Surf Life Saving NSW, State Emergency Service and National 
		Parks and Wildlife Service conducted extensive patrols of the national 
		park, while Water Police and SLSA personnel used jet skis to patrol the 
		shoreline.
 
	
		The search operation was suspended at 12:30pm due to 
		adverse weather conditions.
 
	
		The search will resume at 8am tomorrow (Wednesday 23 
		April 2025) at the same location.

Family ‘greatly concerned’ for Denny Kenneth Smith, 40, who vanished from 
Central Coast nearly a month ago

	‘He is missing and we are greatly concerned for his welfare.’
	A man has been missing from the Central Coast for nearly a month, and police 
	are appealing for public assistance.
	
	Denny Kenneth Smith, 40, who is known to frequent Wallsend, Mannering Park 
	and Budgewoi, was last seen in Mannering Park on April 1.
	
	Police were notified of his disappearance on Monday and began searching the 
	area, but only found his white Toyota Hiace van at Snapper Point carpark.
	
	“Concerns are held for Denny’s welfare,” police said.
	
	His sister, Jade Wolfenden, shared on social media that the family is 
	“greatly concerned for his welfare”.
	
	“If anyone who knows my brother Denny Smith has seen him in the past 5 days 
	please contact me asap,” Wolfenden wrote.
	
	“He is missing and we are greatly concerned for his welfare.”
	
	His cousin, Mel Turner, also posted that she hadn’t heard from Smith and was 
	worried about him.
	
	Smith is described as Caucasian, about 177cm tall, of thin build, with short 
	brown hair, a medium complexion, and an ear stretcher body modification.
	
	He was last seen wearing surf-style clothing and Reebok shoes.
	
	Police suspended Tuesday’s search at 12.30pm due to poor weather conditions 
	and will resume efforts from 8am Wednesday.
	
	Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
