Circumstances

On Tuesday 22 March 2022 George Levaux caught a taxi from his home, in Glen Forrest, to Swanbourne Beach, Western Australia. 

70 year old George was last seen in person by the driver of the taxi at 1.33 pm that afternoon, sitting on a bench facing out towards the sea near the roundabout intersection of North Street and Marine Parade, Swanbourne. He was wearing a blue crew neck T-shirt, blue denim jeans and dark coloured trainers. George was carrying a black back pack. George has not been heard from or seen since. 

Western Australian Police and State Emergency Service volunteers conducted a large-scale search of the Swanbourne Beach area and, on the night of Thursday 24 March 2022, located some of George’s belongings on the sand approximately 650 metres north of Swanbourne Nedlands Surf Live Saving Clubhouses.

Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of George is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Mundaring Police are urgently seeking information on the whereabouts of 70-year-old George William LEVAUX as they have concerns for his welfare.
Mr LEVAUX left his home in Glen Forrest on Tuesday 22 March 2022 and has not returned. He has not responded to attempts by family to contact him.
Mr LEVAUX is described as 162cm tall with a slim build, short brown hair and brown eyes.
Mr LEVAUX likes to visit the beach areas of Swanbourne and Cottesloe.
Anyone who sees George is asked to call 131 444 immediately.
