Michael was planning to leave on holidays to Fiji in April 2019 however his passport and belongings were located at his residence. He has not been seen by family or friends since 25/04/2019. Police hold serious concerns for the safety and welfare of Michael. His vehicle was later located in the Blue Mountains.

Mick's family posted this lovely tribute to him - "Micheal Maher is a 48year old, son, brother, uncle and a dear friend to many. He is a beautiful soul and has a heart of gold. Over the years he has fostered, mentored and been a strong leader for people within his community and church family. He has travelled all over Australia and overseas for ministry work. In which he was flying out to fiji on the 28th April 19 but sadly didn't make the flight.  The family is devastated that Michael mysteriously went missing on Thursday 25th April 2019 from Toongabbie NSW.  Micks car has been located within the blue mountains region, A police, SES, Fire Brigade search team have been working tremendously in search for micheal and the family can not thank them enough for their efforts."

Police seek help to find missing man at Toongabbie

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Sydneyís west.

Michael Maher, aged 48, was last seen leaving a home on Wentworth Avenue at Toongabbie about midday on Thursday (25 April 2019).

He has not been seen since this time and police and family have concerns for Michaelís welfare. He also suffers from a medical condition.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command are appealing for help to locate Michael.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance with a light brown complexion, about 165cm to 170cm tall, with a large build, receding short brown hair, and brown eyes.

It is not known what he was wearing at the time.

Michael is believed to be driving a white Mitsubishi Pajero with NSW registration CG-88-UC and has family members in the NSW south coast region.
