Searching for answers
Police and the family are appealing for anyone with
information on Parbhat's movements in the days leading up to
his disappearance to come forward.
The last sighting of the 24-year-old was in his blue Kia
Cerato at The Gap car park on Monday.
The discovery of his abandoned vehicle sparked the search
which was called off intermittently due to bad weather along
the coast.
Albany police Sergeant Vaughan Mackay said the investigation
remains ongoing and the search could recommence pending any
new information into Parbhat's whereabouts.
Deadly tourist spot
There are many warnings signs about dangers at The Gap
detailing its cliff tops and potential for king waves and
high winds.
At least six people have died at the site in the past 40
years.
Rahul said families like his need reassurance that enough
safety measures are in place to protect others.
"The Gap is beautiful place, but it's dangerous
place too,"
he said.
"From what I understand, there have been other incidents
there in the past, and we believe there should be more,
better safety measures in place."
Rahul said cameras could be installed and the site should be
closed at night.
"We strongly feel that more cameras should be installed, and
especially in such a distribution to prevent tragedy like
this happening again," he said.
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions
declined to respond to Rahul's comments, citing the ongoing
police investigation.
