The daughter of Katherine man Paul Baker, who has been missing for almost two months, has made an impassioned plea to continue the search for her father and "best friend."
Cindy Baker, who lives in Darwin, said she hasn't heard from her father since the day he was last seen in Katherine's CBD on August 6.
She said the last phone call she had with him on the day he disappeared sparked concern for his well being.
"His mental health was not good," Ms Baker said.
She said her dad, who lives alone on a property in the Edith Farms Road area, was known to travel to collect native seeds, but that he had not brought his seed collecting equipment with him.
"I don't believe that he is seed collecting, but I do believe he could be in the bush somewhere in the NT," Ms Baker said.
"I do believe he could [also] be in South Australia or possibly Western Australia."
Ms Baker has since travelled between Darwin and Barrow Creek, putting up posters along the way requesting members of the public contact her or the police with any information.
So far, she has had no luck.
"I've done possibly everything I can do," she said.
"Someone must have seen something."
She described the almost two month wait for information about her missing father as "heartbreaking."
"Me and my dad are best friends," she said.
"It's just completely heartbreaking for myself and all of our family."
NT Police first put out a call for information regarding Mr Baker's whereabouts on August 18 before conducting a two-day air, land and road search around Mr Baker's property.
They said Mr Baker was last seen near the Katherine Local Court wearing a long sleeved blue shirt, a cap and dark pants.
"Northern Territory Police have conducted an extensive air and land search for Mr Baker. Ground crews and helicopters have searched Mr Baker's property, and a significant amount of bushland that surrounds his property with no signs of him," Superintendent Craig Garland said.
"Katherine detectives have conducted an extensive investigation into Mr Baker's whereabouts but have had no success. At this stage they have no further lines of enquiry to pursue.
"Police are still calling for any information from the public in relation to Mr Baker's whereabouts."
Ms Baker urged anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant, to contact police on 131 444 or herself via Facebook.
