Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to help them with their enquiries. They have clarified that there is no suggestion this person is involved in Ms Salman’s disappearance, merely that he briefly spoke with her on that day, and officers hope she may have shared information which could help investigators. NSW Police believe that the man in the CCTV may have interacted with Ms Salman near the entrance of a restaurant at Manly Wharf, around 12.35pm Thursday, 01 September 2022.

Circumstances

Sana Salman was last seen alive at Brookvale Sydney on Thursday 1 September 2022.  Sana was due to attend a medical appointment in the area but never arrived. Enquiries show that Sana’s mobile phone has not been used since 12:34pm on Thursday the 1 September 2022.

During these enquiries, CCTV was obtained which captured Sana on CCTV walking east bound past 29 North Head scenic drive (heading to North Head) at 1pm on Thursday 1 September 2022. There have been no further sightings.

Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of Sana Salman is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

 

6/9/22  Northern Beaches Police are seeking help to locate an Avalon woman who has been reported missing.

According to NSW Police, 34-year-old Sana Salman has been reported missing after last being seen around 2.00pm Friday, 02 September. After failing to return home, family contacted police with concerns for her welfare, and officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command commenced inquiries to locate her.

Ms Salman is reported to have been seen at the Woolworths Metro Avalon Beach store last Thursday (01 September) and is known to frequent the suburbs of Avalon Beach, Mona Vale, Warriewood and Newtown.

Ms Salman (image right/below) is described as being of Indian/sub-continental appearance, approximately 157cm tall, of medium build, with dark hair and brown eyes. It is not known what she was last wearing but commonly wears dark-coloured clothing.

UPDATED 10/09: A multi-agency land search started early this morning (Saturday, 10 September) at North Head, Manly, for Ms Sana Salman of Avalon Beach, still missing over a week later.

NSW Police have reported Ms Salman was last seen on CCTV in the North Head area, Manly, around 1.00pm Thursday, 01 September. They have issued further geo-targeting alerts to the areas of Manly, Dee Why and surrounds. If you receive a message from +61 444 444 444, it is not a scam.

46 NSW State Emergency Services (SES) members from across the Sydney Metro Zone, including NSW SES Manly Unit, are assisting Northern Beaches Police Area Command officers, NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) firefighters, and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) rangers in the land search.

NSW Police believe that the man in the CCTV may have interacted with Ms Salman near the entrance of a restaurant at Manly Wharf, around 12.35pm Thursday, 01 September.

The man depicted in the CCTV is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, with short hair and facial stubble. He is wearing dark-coloured clothing and shoes (bottom image, right or below).

Sana Salman is described as being of Indian/sub-continental appearance, approximately 157cm tall, of medium build, with dark hair and brown eyes. It is not known what she was last wearing, but commonly wears dark-coloured clothing (top and middle image, right or below).
