Circumstances (from NT Police)

In February 1982, Tommy MARSHALL was camped at Canteen Bore on Yambah Station NT with another worker (Tom BURROWS), maintaining fences and bores. At about 11.00PM, on the 28th February, he became extremely agitated and woke BURROWS and commented that someone was out to cause him physical harm. He has then dressed himself and walked off into the darkness. At this time, BURROWS showed no concern as he thought that Tommy was missing ‘grog’ and that he would walk back to Alice Springs. Tommy had over 40 years of working experience within this local area. Statements were obtained from BURROWS and the Station Overseer (John GOREY) at the time.

Anyone with information which may assist in locating the whereabouts of Tommy is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
